Volturnos, High King of the Deep — Warhammer Age of Sigmar
A showcase-level commission centred on a bold colour contrast: deep purples and near-blacks on the Deepmare, warm amber with tiger-stripe banding on the tail, and metallic gold throughout the armour. The yellow cape ties the warm tones together and pulls the eye toward the rider.
Stormcast Eternals — Spearhead
A full Spearhead force built around deliberate contrast. Cool, battle-worn metallic armour forms the foundation — grim and grounded. Against that, deep crimson capes bring warmth and movement, while fire and heat effects on the weapons and wings push the eye upward toward the most dramatic elements of each model.
The beasts break from the rest entirely, painted in cold blue to make them read as something apart — not quite tame, not quite divine.
The result is a warband that feels unified without being uniform, and dangerous without being flashy.
Belisarius Cawl — Warhammer 40,000
A showcase-level commission on one of 40K’s most detail-dense models. The red robes were shaded for depth and warmth, while the mechanical limbs and cog-work were picked out in metallic silver and gold. Small colour accents — a blue lens here, a yellow cable there — keep the eye moving across the model.
Wyrdhollow — Warhammer Underworlds Personal project
Every trip gets a model. This one came back from the Netherlands — both warbands from the Wyrdhollow core set, painted for the pleasure of it. Domitan’s Stormcoven in gold and royal blue, Ephilim’s Pandaemonium in the shifting pinks and teals of Tzeentch. No brief, no deadline. Just paint.
Sanguinary Guard — Warhammer 40,000
Ten Blood Angels Sanguinary Guard at tabletop+ level. Rich metallic gold, carefully shaded white wings, and glowing blue energy blades as a striking accent colour. A unit that holds together visually on the table and in the display case.
The Xanathar — Dungeons & Dragons Collector’s Series
The model that started it all. Painting Xanathar’s ten eyes — each a different colour — was the moment that made commission painting feel like a real possibility. Personal project, painted before Didiature existed.
Star Wars: Imperial Assault — Tabletop
It started with two broken probe droids. They left the studio fully repaired — and fully painted. One thing led to another, and the entire box followed. The finished collection became a gift for a brother-in-law: Stormtroopers, Imperial Guards, Darth Vader, Rebels, and an AT-ST, all table-ready.
